Every year, I for one, look forward to seeing James Taylor, among many others, at Tanglewood in the beautiful Berkshires of Western Massachusetts. But 2020 is different. This year, because of COVID-19, Tanglewood announced their first-ever Online Music Festival with both free and paid content.
The online festival will feature artists and programs of the originally announced 2020 Tanglewood season and are designed to capture the beauty and spirit of Tanglewood.
In addition to the free offerings, the paid programs range in price from $5 to $12 for a single stream, $15-$19 for multiple stream packages, or for a donation of $100 or more, receive a pass for the entire season. And as I was preparing this blog, I decided to donate $100 because I want to help sustain Tanglewood, so I encourage you to do the same. If not Tanglewood, then consider a donation to your favorite organization during this unprecedented time.
So, gather your blanket, pack a picnic, go sit under a shaded tree and enjoy…..
