I know, it's hard to believe, but July 4th is next week! How did that happen? In any event, I wanted to give you a few of our favorite ideas on how you can celebrate Independence Day right here in Western Massachusetts!
Amherst - Amherst's Independence Day Celebration happens at McGuirk Football Stadium on the UMASS campus, on July 4, from 5:00–10:00 PM. The day will feature hot air balloons, games, races, music, contests, food, and, of course, fireworks. Admission is free but parking is $5. REALTOR Maureen Borg from our Coldwell Banker Upton-Massamont REALTORS Northampton office highly recommends this one!
Greenfield - The Greenfield Recreation Department hosts the Greenfield Independence Day Celebration and Fireworks on Friday, July 5 from 4pm-10:30pm at Beacon Field in Greenfield, MA. Live music, food, and vendors with a fireworks display over Poet's Seat Tower. Rain date: July 6.
South Hadley - The Independence Day Fireworks are held at Michael E. Smith Middle School on Wednesday, July 3 with a rain date of Friday, July 5. Enjoy food, games, music and fireworks!
Not a huge fan of fireworks? We've got you covered!

My very favorite way to spend July 4th is at Tanglewoods in the Berkshires, listening to James Taylor. If you go, bring a picnic, a blanket, chairs, bug spray, and sunscreen.
From all of us at Coldwell Banker Upton-Massamont REALTORS, have a wonderful 4th of July!
