Western Mass Farmers' Markets

There are an abundance of Farmers’ Markets in Hampshire and Franklin Counties in the Pioneer Valley. Thank goodness, because if you’re like me, I enjoy an abundance of fresh fruits and veggies, local plants, and so much more.

I asked some of our REALTORS® at Coldwell Banker Upton-Massamont REALTORS® about their favorite farmers’ markets and here’s what they had to say…

Carol Bolduc, REALTOR® at our Shelburne Falls office, highly recommends the Shelburne Falls Farmers’ Market. Drop by for fresh, local vegetables, homemade breads, pasture raised eggs and meat, handspun wools and other hand-made gifts, and enjoy musicians playing on the green.

Phil Pless, REALTOR®, also from our Shelburne Falls office is a fan of the Ashfield Farmers Market. Phil says, There is a “great variety of veggies, meats, fruits and Bread Euphoria.” Enjoy coffee, jams, baked goods, cut flowers, olive oil, and much more. Phil also says there’s usually entertainment, so it’s a wonderful way to spend a Saturday morning.

David Santos, REALTOR® at our Northampton office, referenced the Northampton farmers’ market, next to the parking garage behind Thorne’s and said, “Along with all the local produce and specialty foods, it’s a great social event!”

Brian Megliola, our Operations Director, said of the same market, “The wood fired Pizza is amazing!”

I, too, am a big fan of the Northampton farmers market. That might be because it’s right behind our Northampton office so it’s very convenient, but mostly because the variety is amazing, and the fruits and veggies are so fresh. Think local honey, beautiful flowers, homemade granola, fresh baked breads, and so much more.
