We all have our favorite restaurants here in Western Massachusetts, don't we? One of my favorites is Judi's in Amherst. The popovers are to die for! Normally I get the Turkey Pop Pie but when I want something a little lighter, just a salad and a popover will do.
I asked our REALTORS about their favorite restaurants and here's what they had to say....
Marcia Brooks, a REALTOR in our South Deerfield office loves the newly opened GianniFigs on Elm Street in South Deerfield. She said, "The food is pretty authentic, and consistently GOOD and plentiful. The house is always packed. There’s a very nice menu selection, the service is super-friendly. It’s a very warm, inviting and upbeat place every time I’ve been there. (4 times now)." I concur! Because of this recommendation I went to GianniFigs on Friday night and it was wonderful! Phil Pless, a REALTOR in our Shelburne Falls office said "The Ashfield Lakehouse in Ashfield offers fine dining on the deck overlooking the lake when weather permits. Open year round, eclectic menu, great selection of beers and wines." He also has a fondness for Gypsy Apple in Shelburne Falls. He said it "is the best restaurant hands down in the entire area. If you're looking for something pretty casual, Jennifer Donais, a REALTOR in our Northampton office recommends The Hideaway Lounge in Easthampton. "Whether you want a family atmosphere by sitting on the Riff’s side or a more intimate setting sitting in the Hideaway (ages 16+) you still get the same delicious menu. They offer everything from tacos, burgers, salads, and pizza and I’ve never had anything I didn’t love. They serve local beer too. The staff is always friendly and very attentive without being pushy. It’s definitely one of my favorite restaurants. I highly recommend starting with the pulled pork egg rolls!" Connect with Jennifer.
A favorite of Meredith Carroll, also a REALTOR in our Northampton office, is the Sierra Grille in Northampton. "The structure of the Menu allows you to essentially create your own meal. By choosing the protein, a sauce, and then 2 sides you can address any dietary needs you may have. They have a scratch kitchen which means that everything (including the ketchup!) is made from scratch. The wait staff is friendly, very knowledgeable of how the food is prepared,and more than happy to guide you. They offer an extensive wine and craft beer list and have recently added liquor at the bar. I also love that they take reservations which I highly recommend on the weekends!" Connect with Meredith.
